Part-Time Math, Science, and Physics Teacher:

Chesterton Academy of the Twin Cities, a joyfully Catholic, classical high school, seeks a talented and dynamic part-time Physics, Math, and Science teacher to join our team starting in the 2022-23 academic year.

We are seeking a versatile teacher whose love of science and math is matched by their love of teaching and forming high school students in the Catholic faith. Teachers must have a passion for a Catholic liberal arts education, and must be able to lead a dialectically driven classroom. Every student at Chesterton Academy takes four years of math and science. Science and mathematics play a crucial integrating role in the Chesterton Academy curriculum blending elements of reason and faith.

A bachelor's degree in engineering, a science field, or mathematics is required, a master's degree is preferred. Previous experience teaching or tutoring high school Algebra, Calculus and Statistics is highly preferred. Two to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

In addition to their teaching and administrative responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body and participate in spiritual retreats or other school activities.
