Admissions Process

Greater priority is given to families who complete the admissions process prior to December 31 of their child's 8th grade year. Doing so will maximize your ability to secure a seat, obtain financial aid, and receive merit awards.

Inquire & Visit

The first step in our admissions process is to fill out a brief interest form. Then, a member of our team will reach out to you to discuss any questions you have and help you with the next steps.

Secondly, we encourage you to come visit us! All of our prospective students are required to attend one shadow day to get a feel for what life is like at Chesterton Academy. These can be attended with other prospective students on one of our group shadow days or scheduled individually anytime during the school year.

Apply & Submit Documents

Once you're ready to apply, you'll use our online admissions portal to submit your documentation. This will include:

Your application
Official 6-8 grade transcripts*
Three teacher recommendations including literature, math, and a subject of your choice
Financial questionnaire (and our financial need assessment tool if you are seeking financial aid)
Student questionnaire

*If your student is a transferring high school student, we will also request official transcripts from high school.

Tuition

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to offer a tuition rate significantly lower than the actual cost to educate each student.

Therefore, our tuition rate for the 2026 - 2027 school year is $10,125.

This tuition rate is one of the lowest among Catholic schools in the Twin Cities- about one-half to two-thirds of other Catholic alternatives.

Our annual enrollment/re-enrollment fee is $500. Though we strive to keep tuition affordable, in order to keep up with rising costs, families can expect a modest increase of about 5% in our tuition rate each year.

Financial Aid & Merit Awards

We work hard to make our Catholic education as affordable as possible. That's why we're proud to offer over one million dollars of automatic scholarship and financial aid to qualified families.

We also offer a variety of merit awards for incoming students who demonstrate excellence in academics, fine arts, or Catholic discipleship.
