Hollywood Producer, Jason Jones, to Share His Pro-Life Journey at Annual Chesterton Academy Cultura Vitae Lecture


Minneapolis, Minn. (February 1, 2013) – Chesterton Academy, a private, classical high school, announced today that award-winning film producer and pro-life activist, Jason Jones, will deliver its annual 2013 Cultura Vitae Lecture. Jones will share his pro-life journey, and will also present an exclusive early screening of his acclaimed new short film, Crescendo.

The 2013 Cultura Vitae lecture will be on Saturday, Feb 23, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Chesterton Academy (inside Calvary Church) 5300 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55410. Jason Jones is the co-executive producer of Bella, associate producer of The Stoning of Soraya M and producer of Crescendo. He is the president and founder of the Movie to Movement organization. He has has been at the forefront of efforts to educate the upcoming generation on how to promote human dignity and create a culture of life. Jones will share his pro-life journey and discuss his latest work, the internationally acclaimed short film, Crescendo. Based on a true story, the film is set in the 18th century Holy Roman Empire where a series of events turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary experience for a woman whose life will never be the same. Written and directed by Alonso Alvarez, Crescendo has been globally heralded, winning eleven awards at recent film festivals. Accolades include the Crystal Heart award at the 2011 Heartland Film festival and top short film honors at the Hollywood Film Festival.

In addition to the lecture and film screening, Chesterton Academy will honor special guest, Mary Ann Kuharski, founder of ProLife Across America. All proceeds from the evening’s free-will offering will be donated to Pro-Life Across America. Known as “the billboard people,” ProLife Across America’s mission is to reach out through ads to people who may not be reached in any other way. The organization is committed to bringing positive, persuasive messages offering information and alternatives - including adoption - and post abortion assistance to those in need.
